1st Offense DWI Class

12 Hour DWI Education Program

In Texas, individuals convicted of a first-offense DWI are legally required to complete a 12-hour DWI Education Program approved by the state. This course, typically held over three sessions, focuses on helping participants understand the effects of alcohol and drugs on driving, the legal consequences of impaired driving, and strategies to prevent future offenses. Topics include Texas DWI laws, substance use awareness, decision-making skills, and personal responsibility behind the wheel. Completion of this class within the court-ordered timeframe—usually within 180 days—is mandatory to maintain or reinstate driving privileges.
